CruiseIndex is the independent research engine built to score every ship, fare, and review, so you know what a sailing is actually worth before you book.
Every sailing is judged three ways: how good the ship is, what passengers make of her, and whether today's fare is a deal. Together, they tell you what a cruise is actually worth.
Vessel Class
graded out of six
The physical ship itself: half space per guest, a third guests per crew member, the rest condition. Food and service are shown separately, because passenger ratings only compare ships within their own line.
Every ship lands on one curve. The sixth star belongs to the top 2%, so no ship starts with it.
23,348 sailings scored on ship quality, passenger reviews and what the fare should cost.
How CruiseIndex works
Vessel Class (of six) evaluates the physical ship itself, factoring in space per guest, food quality, service, overall condition, health inspections, and incident history. The sixth star is reserved for the top ~2% of the fleet.
4.7
Review Score (of 5) pools actual passenger ratings from the major review sites, giving a collective snapshot of how past guests felt, without editing or reweighting. Shown as-is, so you don't have to go check them all yourself.
9.2
Value Score (of 10) is how much ship you get per dollar, ranked against comparable cruises: same cabin type, same region, same length. 8.4 means better value than 84% of them. A better ship at the same price always scores higher, and so does the same ship for less.
No games, no markup. Every price is the real fare from CruiseDirect, the same page the booking link opens, so the number on the card is the number at checkout. If you book through CruiseIndex they pay us a commission; you never pay a cent more. No “call us,” no paywall, no pay-to-rank. Any sailing we cannot price this way is withheld rather than shown with a substitute figure.
Tags are earned from each ship's own data: food, service, newness, space and traveler reviews. Pick any to narrow the list; a sailing must carry all the tags you choose.
◆What's on board◆
Filter to ships that actually have the facilities you want. Pick any; the list keeps only ships with all of them.
Every fare here is a real, current CruiseDirect price: sailings without one are withheld rather than shown at an estimate. · How the Index works →
